Green Jeopardy – Test Your Knowledge

Buzzers were a buzzing during the first annual Green Jeopardy lunch hour challenge.  Kevin Hanvey, aka Alex Trebek, hosted the 30 question gameshow with three teams of 3 – 4 contestants.

Categories ranging from Build it Green to The Three R’s challenged and stumped contestants and led to some healthy competition for sustainable know-how.

Test your green knowledge by completing the sample jeopardy questions below and remember to answer in the form of a question!

Building it Green

  1. A popular green building system for the leading edge sustainable buildings.
  2. A very low energy house design approach.

Potpourri

  1. Dr. Seuss book where the main character chopped down the truffula trees causing all sorts of pollution.
  2. This fast growing waste category includes tvs, computers and cell phones.

It Adds Up

  1. By recycling one ton of paper, we can save 17 of these.
  2. Improperly dumping one gallon of this can contaminate 1 million gallons of water.

Climate Change

  1. This effect may get bad press but we need it to keep the earth warm enough to sustain life.
